production, administrative jobs affected; key official retires

KEWASKUM – Facing a dreary economy and
slowed sales, cookware manufacturer Regal Ware Inc. recently
underwent a series of temporary and permanent layoffs.

The Kewaskum-based company on
Wednesday also announced the retirement this month of a longtime
official and a pair of promotions.
The layoffs affected a total of 26 administrative and production
employees, Senior Vice President and Human Resources Officer David
Lenz said.
Seven administrative positions were permanently eliminated, another
four were placed on a six-month layoff and 15 production jobs were
temporarily cut with no timeline to return, he said.
