How influential is talk radio?
Recent rift between party chair and show host brings issue to light

WAUKESHA - With controversy surrounding the national Republican Party and the recent rift created between party Chair Michael Steele and radio talk show personality Rush Limbaugh, some have questioned who really runs the party.




Steele was criticized by both Republicans and Democrats for apologizing to Limbaugh after he made comments denouncing the radio show host as nothing more than "an entertainer."

While the row might make it look like the national party in is dire straights, the battle does not appear to be trickling down to Wisconsin.

Conservative radio personalities and Republican leaders here say they respect each othersí views and make sure their political roles donít get lumped together.
