Adventurer aims for record-setting feat
Larsen hopes to reach both poles climb Mt. Everest

CEDARBURG - A selfless young man from Cedarburg has spent the better part of his life investigating and learning from the most remote places on earth, and from the earth itself.

Cedarburg native Eric Larsen, 38, will lead expeditions to the North and South Poles and an expedition to the summit of Mt. Everest, all within a one-year span. "Only 15 people have been to all three places," Larsen said. "None have done it in one year." If he completes his ambitious tour, it will be a world record, but Larsen says that’s the least of his concerns.
