WEST BEND - For 10 years, Renee Wesolowski has kept the promise she made after her daughter, Theresa, was killed.

"I have vowed to have a candlelight ceremony every year until the case is resolved," she said. "I read a few poems and a pastor comes out, and anyone who wants to talk after that can. It’s just a memory."

Memories are all the Wesolowski family has left of Theresa, who was just 22 when she was found stabbed to death near her parked car about six hours after leaving her second-shift job at Smurfit Stone on May 28, 1999.
