Wisconsin crafter beverage makers form coalition

MADISON ó Independent producers of craft beverages have united to create the Wisconsin Craft Beverage Coalition to promote, protect, and defend the stateís craft beverage industry.

The founding members of nonprofit group are comprised of three trade associations that collectively represent over 300 small and independent Wisconsin businesses that contribute a combined economic impact of over $2 billion in Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Winery Association, Wisconsin Brewers Guild and the Wisconsin Distillers Guild are charter members of the organization.

In addition, the coalition will work to promote legislation that will allow Wisconsinís craft beverage industry to grow and thrive and will raise awareness of all legislative and special interest proposals that would harm the small businesses, according to a news release.
