TOWN OF BROOKFIELD — No action was taken during Wednesday’s Town Board meeting, but its members gave a sort-of verbal thumbs up to a movie theater proposal for The Corners of Brookfield, said Town Administrator Tom Hagie.

“They would like to see this idea continue to go forward,” Hagie said of the Town Board.

The Plan Commission on June 26 tabled discussion on the project in order to get more information before making a decision.

A 38-foot vertical addition for a nine-screen theater at the upscale residential and retail development known as The Corners is being sought. The Corners is located off of Interstate 94 on Bluemound Road at Barker Road.

The Plan Commission will revisit the item during its July 25 meeting.
