NEW BERLIN - As Marcus Theatres continues to invest in its movie theaters around the area, it announced this week that it will add DreamLounger recliner seating to every auditorium in the Ridge Cinema in New Berlin, as well as to the North Shore Cinema in Mequon.

The company, which is a division of The Marcus Corporation, “continues to invest in its theatres to create a variety of entertainment options for guests across southeastern Wisconsin,” according to the announcement.

In addition, Marcus Theatres recently opened BistroPlex, a new dining and entertainment concept in Greendale, and transitioned its Franklin theater to Showtime Value Cinema. Plus, the Majestic Cinema of Brookfield also has started adding DreamLoungers to 13 of its auditoriums.

“We remain dedicated to transforming the moviegoing experience at each of these unique properties — and throughout our 69-theater circuit,” said Rolando Rodriguez, chairman, president and CEO of Marcus Theatres, in a statement. “Southeastern Wisconsin residents now have the option to enjoy new Dream-Lounger recliner seating in every auditorium at Ridge and North Shore Cinemas, or experience dinner and a movie a whole new way at BistroPlex at Southridge Mall, which just opened two weeks ago. In addition, guests can now opt to see the best Hollywood pictures after their original release at the new Showtime Value Cinema. This combination of offerings provides something for everyone!”

The addition of DreamLounger seating to the New Berlin and Mequon theaters are the result of feedback from customers who enjoyed that type of seating at the Menomonee Falls and South Shore cinemas.
