CEDARBURG — Arrabelle apartments proposed for downtown Cedarburg received architectural design approval Thursday during a city Plan Commission meeting.

The multifamily development from HSI Properties will offer 69 apartment and townhouse units and a plot for a single- family home on the former St. Francis Borgia school site. It will be targeted to empty-nesters, snowbirds and baby boomers, with monthly rent ranging between $1,000 and $2,000. The project was green-lighted in March when the Common Council unanimously approved rezoning and land use plan amendments.

HSI will still need Plan Commission approval for the development’s lighting, landscaping, stormwater and site plans.
