Grafton celebrates TownePlace Suites by Marriott groundbreaking

Construction of the new TownePlace Suites by Marriott hotel at 1601 Gateway Drive in Grafton officially got underway June 28 with a groundbreaking ceremony at the construction site just southeast of the intersection of Interstate 43 and Highway 60.

Top, from left, are Grafton Area Chamber of Commerce President Jennifer Sciuti; village of Grafton Administrator Jesse Thyes, investor and building contractor Kraig Sadownikow, investor Gary Steinhafel, Kinseth Hospitality Vice President Bruce Kinseth and investor Les Kinseth. Initial sewer and water main work to support the hotel adjacent to the Hampton Inn & Suites started in April.

The 87-room extended-stay hotel,
below,
is expected to open early in 2018. The hotel is being built by West Bend-based American Construction Services.
