Franz named R&R Insurance chief operating officer

WAUKESHA —On Wednesday, R&R Insurance Services announced Michael Franz was recently named its chief operating officer.

As the former chief financial officer for Waukesha-based R&R Insurance, Franz was instrumental in implementing and controlling any and all financial-related activities of the company, as well as the management of R&R’s Accounting and IT Departments.

In his new role as COO, Franz will oversee the functions and general operations of R&R. Additionally, he will play a key role in strategic decisions and the overall stability of the business, according to the announcement.

“The value that Michael has brought to R&R over his 10 years is immense,” said Ken Riesch, president of R&R Insurance Services, in a statement. “He has been instrumental in the financial responsibility and overall success of the company. Michael has a way of instilling integrity and confidence into those that he works with, and I look forward to the growth R&R will see with his new role.”

Franz earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He joined R&R in 2007 and has held the role of CFO for the last 10 years. In addition, he is an active member of the Waukesha community. As the former president of the Waukesha County Crush softball organization, Franz coached youth softball for over 18 years.
