ó The Garvey Group will cease operations on July 31 at these
facilities: 9980 South Oakwood Park Drive, Franklin affecting 39
workers, and 4601 South Fifth Street, Milwaukee affecting 15
workers. The Garvey Group facility at 7900 Durand Avenue,
Sturtevant has closed affecting 12 workers. Closures affect
approximately 66 workers in total.
Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and its regional
workforce partner, Employ Milwaukee, will continue to offer Rapid
Response services to the affected workers.
DWD Dislocated Worker Program provides transition assistance to
workers and companies affected by permanent worker layoffs. The
Programís local Rapid Response Teams help companies and worker
representatives develop and implement a practical transition plan
based on the size of the layoff event.
