The proposal to establish a Pizza Ranch in West Bend will continue as company representatives receive another approval, getting them one step closer to their goal.

Members of the Plan Commission approved a site plan for architectural building changes and parking lot alterations to an existing structure at 2020 W. Washington Street.

“This is an adaptive reuse for the old Ponderosa site,” Business and Development Planner James Reinke said.

According to the memo he sent to Plan Commission members, the south, west and east sides of the structure will feature a stone veneer along the lower portions of the walls. The remaining parts of the wall will be sided by using a composite with a maple color.

There will be two building additions constructed on the north side, and the northwest corner will have an order pick-up area with a separate entrance.

The parking area has also been altered to accommodate the relocation of the restaurant’s main entrance. The grades on the north side of the building have been raised to remove a service ramp that exists. The lot will be resealed and striped.

“Congratulations to Pizza Ranch,” Mayor Kraig Sadownikow said after the vote. “There is no limit to the amount of congratulations we can give you, but hopefully this is the one that makes it happen.”
