DELAFIELD - JRS Country Acres will debut its new cage-free eggs from hens fed soy-free grains and cage-free eggs from hens fed GMO-free grains in a limited market distribution, the company announced Tuesday.

The eggs will be available at Albrecht's Sentry in Delafield, 3255 Golf Road, now through Sept. 17.

The eggs will also be available at the Outpost Natural Foods locations in Bay View, Mequon, Milwaukee and Wauwatosa.

"We are limiting our market distribution to a small number of stores in order to gauge our customers' interest in a soy-free and GMO-free egg," JRS County Acres Vice President Judy Tholen said. "We have heard from a segment of our customers that they would like to see more product options and with the federal government passing the mandatory GMO labeling law in 2016, we felt it was time to provide new alternatives so our customers can choose an egg that fits their values."
