The price per pizza is $7.87, regardless of the number of toppings. Pizzas are hand-cooked in an 800-degree oven in just minutes and salads are individually hand-tossed for each customer. The menu also includes handspun milkshakes, house-made lemonades and iced teas, and local craft beers and wine.

The Oconomowoc store will be company-owned and will hire about 25 employees. There will be a job fair at the store from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 28.

Wayte said MOD Pizza has been named one of the "20 Best Workplaces in Retail" and a "Best Workplace for Millennials" by Fortune.

"We are committed to paying above industry standard, offers health, dental and vision benefits, short term disability, sick pay, flexible scheduling for work-life balance and opportunities for career growth," Wayte said in an email. "We believe in an inclusive community and are happy to provide employment opportunities to those who are often overlooked for employment - including those with developmental differences, employment gaps or records. MOD is also proud to support its MOD Squad with special perks such as free meals, an employee assistance program, and access to an emergency crisis fund."
