WAUKESHA — Longtime bar Billy D’s may soon undergo a facelift.

The bar’s operators were given permission by the Plan Commission on Wednesday night to renovate the exterior of its building at 1313 Arcadian Ave. by adding an ADA accessible ramp and moving the entrance door from the west side of the front facade to the facade’s east side. In addition, the owner wants to add landscaping in planting beds along each side of the ramp and next to the front entrance door.

Other changes to the building’s exterior would include removal of the stone of the façade to be replaced with cream city brick and the addition of a cornice with picture frame details and goose neck lighting. Interior renovation would include the addition of a pizza oven behind the bricked-in window furthest to the west on the façade, so that window could not be vision glass.
