DELAFIELD The owner of the Belfry Kitchen at 606 Genesee Street has withdrawn a request to the Plan Commission for a permit to operate a food truck in the parking lot of the restaurant located at the corner of Genesee and Wells Street.

Amy Quinn said she will seek the conditional use permit in early 2018 to operate the food truck in the lot.

Meanwhile, the truck will continue to travel and prepare food for catered events during the winter.

The truck was being operated on the parking lot of the restaurant in violation of city parking codes, according to City Planner Roger Dupler.

Bruce Evans, general manager of the restaurant, said he did not realize the truck was violating city parking codes.

Evans and Quinn said since winter weather is approaching they will wait until spring before seeking an amendment to the conditional use permit that would allow them to operate the truck in the lot.
