raSmith announces rebranding, new website

BROOKFIELD -In an effort to better reflect what makes R.A. Smith National special, the company’s leadership decided to launch a rebranding campaign, as well as the creation of a new website.

“We’re unique because of our people, our depth of services and the variety of projects we work on nationwide. Our shorter name - raSmith - reflects how the majority of our clients refer to us, while remaining true to our heritage. Our new positioning statement - Creativity Beyond Engineering - reflects what clients have identified as our greatest differentiator. Our goal is to serve as trusted advisors, problem solvers, and professionals who think outside the box every day to make our clients’ lives easier,” said Ricky Smith Jr. in a statement.

According to Wednesday’s announcement, raSmith President Richard A. Smith and his son Richard (Ricky) A. Smith, Jr. made the decision to conduct a rebranding campaign after talking with employees and clients.

 ”I’m excited about our new brand and proud of the people who work at raSmith and their dedication to their careers and the clients they serve. I want to thank our employees, clients and business partners who have contributed to the success of raSmith over what will soon be 40 years in business as we look to celebrate that milestone in 2018,” said Richard Smith in a statement.

These changes at raSmith coincide with a leadership change. Per a corporate announcement this past August, on Jan. 1, 2018, Ricky Smith will become president. His father Richard Smith, founder and current president, will serve as CEO and will remain involved with the company in an advisory and support capacity.
