BROOKFIELD — Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative will add one of the nation’s top children’s hospitals to its individual and group networks in 2018 through an agreement with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, according to a news release Tuesday.

The agreement will also give CGHC members in-network access to pediatric doctors and specialists at Children’s Hospital clinics and the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative is one of the few insurers serving Wisconsin’s individual market in 2018.

“Today’s shrinking federal health care marketplace means fewer options for consumers, but Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative and Children’s Hospital are both working hard to make sure families can still access the care they need for their children,” said Cathy Mahaffey, CGHC CEO, in the release.

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin has hospitals in Milwaukee and Neenah. The system also has more than 40 locations that offer pediatric primary care, urgent care and specialty care in more than 70 medical specialties.

Adding Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin to the Common Ground Healthcare Envision network means CGHC members will have access to 18 Wisconsin hospitals, over 200 clinics and over 30,000 caregivers, the release said.
