BROOKFIELD — Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative announced Friday a partnership with Door County Medical Center starting in 2018 that will serve the health and insurance needs of Door and Kewaunee county residents.

As a result of the partnership, Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative members will have in-network access to DCMC’s hospital located in Sturgeon Bay, as well as clinics in Algoma, Fish Creek, Brussels, Sturgeon Bay and Washington Island. The hospital and clinics offer a wide range of primary and specialty care provided by more than 175 DCMC physicians.

Common Ground Healthcare’s cost-effective Envision network is offered to both individuals and small employers in 19 Wisconsin counties, and next year, CGHC will be the only health insurance carrier serving individuals accessing financial assistance to purchase insurance through Healthcare. gov.

“We are pleased to announce this agreement with Door County Medical Center because our missions are aligned in service to our communities. DCMC shares our philosophy of putting people first,” said CGHC’s Chief Executive Officer Cathy Mahaffey, in a statement.
