OCONOMOWOC — Oconomowoc Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Katie Miller announced Thursday that she will leave the chamber to take a position with an architectural firm.

In an email Thursday, Miller wrote, “I’m writing to let you know that I will be leaving my position as the Executive Director of the Oconomowoc Area Chamber of Commerce as of January 30, 2018. I have truly loved my time with the Chamber and working with so many of you to make our local business community stronger and more successful.”

Miller was hired as the executive director in December 2012, replacing Pat Ornberg. Miller and her husband have lived in Oconomowoc since 1997.

She said she accepted a position with Eppstein Uhen Architects in Milwaukee/Madison, where she will assist school districts in southeastern Wisconsin with facilities planning and related communications and community engagement efforts.

In her email Thursday, Miller said the chamber’s Board of Directors has begun to develop the tools needed to locate the next chamber director.
