Braverman named business dean at Cardinal Stritch University

FOX POINT — Janette Braverman, a Mequon resident and Ozaukee County Board supervisor, has been named as the dean of the College of Business and Management at Cardinal Stritch University. She started in her new position Monday, according to a news release from Cardinal Stritch.

“Janette is a recognized leader in Milwaukee and Wisconsin and her experience will benefit undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Business and Management, as well as positioning the college for future success across the state and region,” said Kathleen A. Reinhart, president of Cardinal Stritch.

“Janette has dedicated her professional career to building meaningful and lasting relationships,” Reinhart added. “In demonstration of our Franciscan values, Janette is a true servant leader, who will be a dynamic addition to the Stritch team.”

Most recently, Braverman worked for Rockwell Automation. Her 20 years of professional experience in information technology and manufacturing industries also include positions with Lockheed Martin Aerospace and Harley-Davidson.

She earned a master’s degree in 2009 from Cardinal Stritch in business management. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in computer information systems from the University of Texas at El Paso.

As a member of the Ozaukee County Board, Braverman represents District 24 and serves on the board’s Health and Human Services Committee. She also serves in an appointed position as a member of Mequon’s Economic Development Board. She is a member of Rotary International District 6270.

“Leadership and business development, education and community services have always been my passions,” Braverman said in the news release. “I’m elated to have the opportunity to pursue all of my passions – and, what’s even better, I’m at my alma mater.”
