GRAFTON — Port Washington State Bank will be the official sponsor of the Lakeshore Chinooks baseball club for the upcoming season.

The Chinooks and PWSB celebrated the partnership during a ceremony at the bank’s newest location in Thiensville.

“As the official bank of the Lakeshore Chinooks, Port Washington State Bank is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the 2018 Lakeshore Chinooks season,” said James S. Schowalter, senior vice president and chief credit officer for PWSB. “Our bank prides itself on the promotion of family friendly activities and the Chinooks are a shining example of this effort in southeastern Wisconsin.

“There is simply no better way to spend a summer evening than watching Chinooks Baseball at Kapco Park with your family and friends,” Schowalter added. “Our bank is proud to be a continued part of this great organization.”

Port Washington State Bank jumped on board as a corporate partner with the Chinooks in 2012 during the team’s inaugural season. It has continued to be an invested partner of the team during the past six seasons, according to a news release.

“The Lakeshore Chinooks are thrilled to have Port Washington State Bank as our presenting sponsor for the 2018 season and beyond,” said Chinooks General Manager Shawn Kison. “As an institution that shares our same beliefs in great customer service, going the extra mile for their patrons and always adding a personal touch, PWSB is an ideal partner for Lakeshore Chinooks baseball.

“Since our inception six years ago, PWSB has been on board to help us achieve our mission of providing affordable family fun for all our fans. Additionally, with PWSB’s ongoing support, the Lakeshore Chinooks can continue to give opportunities for hundreds of interns and players to develop professionally each summer at Kapco Park,” Kison added.

Port Washington State Bank, a family owned business, has been serving Ozaukee County for more than 110 years. The bank has seven locations in Ozaukee County. They are online at www.pwsb.com.
