MEQUON The owners of Xenia Gallery, which features gifts, jewelry and home dcor items, recently announced the store will close.

It is with great regret and considerable deliberation that I am announcing the closing of Xenia Gallery, owner Annette Dowd announced in an email to longtime customers. I am looking forward to spending more time with my family and having more time for new projects.

Xenia Gallery, located at 11031 N. Port Washington Road in Mequon for the past 10 to 12 years, is in the midst of a sale. The store will close sometime toward the end of March, said Amy Maxwell, manager of Xenia Gallery and Dowds daughter.

Prior to opening Xenia Gallery, Maxwell said Dowd operated several other stores through the years in the small shopping mall at 1505 W. Mequon Road.

It has been a fast-paced and rewarding 27 years, Dowd wrote in the email. I assure you that I will miss you all. It has been the joy of my life to serve you. I thank you for your support through the years.
