SUMMIT Five Aurora facilities across Wisconsin, including one center in Summit, have received chest pain accreditation from the American College of Cardiology for their treatment of patients who have heart attack symptoms.

To qualify, hospitals have to meet a strict level of criteria and have proven exceptional competency in treating patients with heart attack symptoms. Care and treatment options must be available 24/7 and every day of the year. Hospitals already receiving accreditation must take part in a multifaceted clinical process that includes a rigorous onsite review and monitoring for sustained success.

The following health centers have all been recognized for their team efforts to streamline evidence based care for their chest pain and acute coronary syndrome patients: Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, Aurora Medical Center in Summit, Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha, Aurora Lakeland Medical Center and Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.
