Clearing the way for another Kwik Trip

Crossing guard Chuck Fellenz of West Bend holds his whistle in his mouth as he waits for students to approach his intersection while the destruction of the former Walgreens building at the intersection of Decorah Road and South Main Street continues Thursday afternoon in West Bend.

The building is being torn down to make way for a Kwik Trip gas station. This will be the second Kwik Trip developed in West Bend since the first one was built in 2016.

I would like to see how its going to be with all the traffic, Fellenz said. Fellenz, a crossing guard at the intersection for five years, helps children from roughly five different schools cross the intersection
