West Bend Medical has grown quickly since opening in Menomonee Falls in October.

Doctors Carey Cameron, Chad Tamez and Brian Wolter, who all formerly practiced in West Bend, provide a full scope of primary care services to patients of all ages. “The name was intended to represent both where we came from and where we plan to re-establish ourselves,” Tamez said in a news release. “Our goal is to return and operate in West Bend at some point in the not too distant future.” In the meantime, patients who have been willing to travel have followed them to the edge of Washington County. “The goal was to try to keep it as convenient as possible for patients and maintain that relationship as much as possible,” clinic administrator Brett Cameron said. Being in Menomonee Falls allows easy access from Highway 45, he said.

The area also offered more options for office space than other municipalities outside their former area of practice.

“A closer patient-to-doctor relationship was what they were after,” Cameron said. The new location and opportunity gives the doctors an opportunity to go back to the “small town feel” they once had, he said.

A news release announcing their opening states the clinic offers affordable pricing for those without insurance.

“Medical care should be personal,” Wolter said in a news release. “It’s my goal to make sure all patients feel that they are valued, and not just a number.”

The early success of the clinic could result in the opening of a second location in West Bend, rather than the group closing the Menomonee Falls location to move to West Bend. But there isn’t a commitment either way.

The group of doctors plans to return to West Bend in 2019, likely during the first half of the year. The current facility is about 5,500 square feet and a former physical therapy clinic.

“The build out cost here was fairly minimal,” Brett Cameron said. “It’s not exactly what we want, but it’s laid out roughly as a clinic, we didn’t have to do a whole lot to change it to how it is.”

The clinic continues to grow, but hasn’t reached its limit as it enters its fourth month of operation.

“As we grow we’re trying to maintain a high quality of service,” Brett Cameron said. “Our growth rate has been surprisingly high.”

The next step for West Bend Medical is to consider locations in West Bend and the cost of entering the market there.

The facility is at W178 N9201 Water Tower Place, Suite 200. Along with the three family medicine doctors the clinic has a staff of nurses and reception staff.
