Johnson Insurance announces hiring of vice president/employee benefits sales manager

MILWAUKEE — Hugh Devlyn has joined Johnson Insurance as vice president/employee benefits sales manager, Joanne Szymaszek, president of Johnson Insurance, said in a news release Thursday.

The company has a local presence with the Johnson Bank branch located at 1555 W. Mequon Road in Mequon.

With 25 years of experience as both an employee benefits consultant and senior human resources executive, Devlyn is experienced in helping senior finance and human resources professionals reduce their risk and attract and retain top talent, according to the news release.

He has a strong background in helping corporate executives with human-capital challenges and helping clients advance toward their strategic business objectives. He specializes in employee benefits, population health management, benefits administration and technology, underwriting, stop-loss insurance, captives, self-funding, compliance, defined benefit and defined contribution plans, workers compensation and health care data analytics, the news release added.

Devlyn is a former Army officer and actively involved with the Red Cross, Rotary, Team Rubicon and Adoption Options. He has these professional affiliations: National Business Group on Health, International Society of Certified Employee Benefits Specialists, National Association of Health Underwriters, Society of Human Resources Management, Human Resources Policy Association, Self-insurance Institute of America, New England Employee Benefits Council and America’s Health Insurance Plans.
