WAUKESHA — Tri City National Bank is expanding its footprint in Waukesha County.

Architects representing the bank recently approached the Waukesha Plan Commission seeking approval for exterior upgrades at the former PNC Bank building at 201 E. Sunset Drive, where it plans to locate a full-service branch.

Headquartered in Oak Creek, Tri City has numerous locations across southeastern Wisconsin, including branches in Brookfield and a branch in Menomonee Falls. The company has a small branch inside the Pick ‘n Save at 220 E. Sunset Drive, but this latest location would be its first full-service branch in the city of Waukesha and its westernmost (situated) full-service location in the state.

“We know there is demand for a community bank like ours, with the services that we offer,” Tri City’s Vice President of Marketing Nick Bandoch said.

“This will be a great location for us for many years.”

Commissioners have approved company plans to spruce up the new building with gabled roofs, shutters, new columns and an improved entrance. Other improvements planned for the site include the resurfacing the entire parking lot., and a refreshing of the landscaping where needed.

The new branch is expected to open sometime this summer.
