THIENSVILLE Midwest Senior Living LLC recently gave formal notice of workforce reduction plans for its Thiensville location which are expected to affect 30 employees.

The layoffs are expected to begin on or about Nov. 1. The Department of Workforce Development and its local partner Waukesha- Ozaukee-Washington Workforce Development Board will provide Rapid Response services to the affected workers. The DWDs Dislocated Worker Program provides transition assistance to people and companies affected by permanent layoffs. According to DWD information, the program helps develop and implement transition plans based on the volume of layoffs, such as organizing pre-layoff workshops in resume writing, interviewing, job search and budget strategies; providing information on programs and resources to assist employment transitions through written materials and in-person sessions; and career and resource fairs.
