Manufacturers invited to supply chain workshops

PEWAUKEE ó To help manufacturers prepare for the upcoming opening of the Foxconn production facility in Mount Pleasant, supply chain workshops will be offered regarding industry trends and Foxconn.

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation is collaborating with the Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, Wisconsin Center for Manufacturing & Productivity, Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership, and its regional economic development partners including the Milwaukee 7, to host informational workshops on supply chain readiness.

The sessions are designed to share opportunities available to better help manufacturers prepare for industry trends and provide participants with a preview of Foxconnís vendor criteria. In addition, there will be information on statewide resources available to help Wisconsinís small- to medium-sized manufacturers improve productivity and establish a path for global competitiveness.

The first session will be held from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Waukesha County Technical College, Business Building (B), 800 Main St., Pewaukee. The second session will be held from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Sept. 24 at Gateway Technical College, SC Johnson iMet Center, 2320 Renaissance Blvd., Sturtevant.
