Bank’s new Mequon location will be in the former
Associated Bank site at 10509 N. Port Washington Road.
MEQUON — Port Washington State Bank announced plans this
week to open its eighth branch in Ozaukee County early
The bank will occupy the former Associated Bank location
at 10509 N. Port Washington Road, PWSB Chairman/
President and CEO Steven R. Schowalter said.
“We are excited to broaden our reach with this
expansion,” he said in a news release. “Our recently
added Thiensville office has been a wonderful extension
of our Ozaukee County footprint, generating
relationships with both Mequon and Thiensville
residents. We view this new location as another way to
service our existing customers and welcome others to the
The 4,300-square-foot branch will be full service,
offering personal banking along with commercial and
mortgage lending, all on site.
“Geographically, this location places us among local
businesses who value quick decisions and superior
customer service. And for the many residents of Mequon
that value the community bank model, we will be a
refreshing alternative,' Schowalter added.
PWSB is one of just 204 banks headquartered in
Wisconsin. In 2007, that number was 301. Schowalter
