WAUKESHA — A new downtown eatery, 5 Joints @ 5 Points,
is ready for diners.
Located at 257 W. Broadway in the space formerly
occupied by Chappie’s on Broadway, the restaurant
officially opened today with the unveiling of its first
Now that it’s up and running, the restaurant, which is
slated to feature five different cuisines cooked by five
different chefs, the business is ready to add its other

Once all those new joints are in place, diners will be
able to choose from the various cuisines, but without
having to stand in line.
“What we are going to do is take that huge kitchen and
separate it up into five work stations, just like on the
show ‘Chopped,’” explained Williams earlier this year.

The plan is for 5 Joints to operate as a
quasi-cooperative, Williams said, giving up-and-coming
chefs the chance to build a name for themselves and
their food, without having to assume the costs
associated with opening their own restaurants.
The project also includes a 6,000-square-foot area on the
building’s second floor, which is being turned into
office, conference, and teaching space for the chefs.
