MUKWONAGO — Imperial House Restaurant at 920 Greenwald Court closed earlier this year after the restaurant’s cook was injured, according to the restaurant’s website.

“Chef Shukun dislocated his shoulder and will be unable to cook for a while,” the website states.

When placing a call to the restaurant, a voicemail recorded by Shukun’s daughter Alice states that Shukun will “require surgery because he tore a tendon.”

“We will update this answering machine after the surgery and again we apologize for any inconvenience,” according to the voicemail.

The voicemail also indicates that Shukun received surgery on Nov. 1. However, a Freeman reporter was not able to obtain the exact date of the restaurant’s closure before press time.

Imperial House Restaurant did not return a request for comment.

The dine-in and carryout restaurant offers Mandarin and Szechuan cuisine and has been serving Mukwonago since 1996.
