CUW to host business lecture series

MEQUON — Concordia University Wisconsin’s Batterman School of Business will kick off its fourth annual MBA Industry Leaders Seminar Wednesday with a presentation by Andy Nunemaker, CEO of Milwaukee-based Dynamis Corp., entitled “Confessions of a Serial Entrepreneur.”

Dynamis is a provider of sales software in the health care insurance industry.

Over a 12-week period, six business experts will present one-hour lectures at 6 p.m. in the university’s Pharmacy School, 12800 N. Lake Shore Drive, Mequon.

The six free talks will be preceded by a networking event with refreshments at 5:15 p.m. and will be followed by a brief, question-and-answer session.

“Proven industry leaders will provide Concordia students access to cutting edge business knowledge, as well as contacts for internships, connections and potential jobs,” said Brian Curry, MBA program director.

The other five speakers and the dates of their presentations are:

■ Arvind Gopalratnam, vice president of Corporate Responsibility and executive director of The Milwaukee Bucks Foundation; Tuesday, Feb. 12; “The Business of Basketball.”

■ Chris Goller, regional president of PNC Financial Services Group; Monday, March 11; “It’s All About the People.”

■ Mark Toth, chief legal and public affairs officer, Manpower Group North America; Tuesday, March 26; “The Leadership Workout.”

■ Denise Thomas, president of The Effective Communication Coach LLC; Thursday, April 11; “Great Leaders are Great Communicators.”

■ Christine Specht, president and CEO of Cousins Submarines Inc.; Tuesday, April 16; “Creating a Legacy of Better.” Specht currently serves as co-chair of CUW’s Foundation Board.
