OCONOMOWOC — A public hearing
has been set to hear comments from citizens about a proposed
amendment to the Oconomowoc Comprehensive Land Use Plan for 2010-30
regarding the former Olympia site.
The hearing will take place during the Plan Commission meeting at
6:30 p.m. on Feb. 13 at City Hall, 174 E. Wisconsin Ave.
The amendment will rezone 16.74 acres of land at 1350 Royal Mile
Road. The application was submitted by a representative of Wangard
Partners. Currently, the land is zoned as commercial and office use
and the parcel currently has general commercial zoning.
Wangard Partners is requesting a change of the parcel to high
density residential. If the amendment is approved, the plan is to
make the old hotel and conference center a 135unit apartment
complex.
