ABQC Corp. to lay off 35 in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE When ABQC closes its doors on First Street in Milwaukee, 35 employees will lose their jobs, according to a notice sent to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce on Monday.

The layoffs are expected to start March 31, although an earlier closing date may be announced. The affected workers are not represented by a union and do not have bumping rights.

ABQC is a metal finishing shop.

The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development Dislocated Worker Program provides transition assistance to workers and companies affected by permanent worker layoffs.
