OCONOMOWOC — For almost seven
years, artisans have been selling their creations at BLiNK Artisan
Boutique in downtown Oconomowoc and occasionally in a pop-up store
owner Lori Reed organized in Mayfair Mall.
That seasonal pop-up store has been given a chance to be permanent —
an opportunity Reed couldn’t refuse.
“It’s been so positive there. That mall is vibrant all of the time,”

additional foot traffic of a mall, she couldn’t say no.
BLiNK will occupy a 850-square-foot space that was the home of Lush,
across from Apple near Mayfair’s center court. Lush is moving into a
bigger storefront in the mall.
“I have been working so hard for six years managing two stores. I am
just going to where the energy is drawing me,” Reed said.
Also, more stores that sell unique craft items and upcycle products
have opened in downtown Oconomowoc in recent months, she said.
The Mayfair BLiNK location will open March 15 and the Oconomowoc
store may remain open until July 1, when the lease ends; however, it
could close sooner if a new tenant is found.
“I am happy with the direction that I am moving in,” Reed said.
