MUKWONAGO — Mukwonago could fill its industrial park with two more tenants in the near future after Village Board members engaged in a closed session discussion with an electronics manufacturer, as well as a builder at a special Village Board meeting Wednesday night.

Briohn Building Corporation inquired about constructing an approximately 125,000 square foot building; however, the letter of intent from the builder does not disclose what business they would build for, said John Weidl, village administrator and economic development director.

TouchPad Electronics LLC, a Wisconsin-based circuit board manufacturer and design team, is also looking to expand its facility in the village’s new industrial park, Weidl said. Their proposed building could be as big as 20,000 to 25,000 square feet, Weidl added.

TouchPad Electronics LLC currently owns a facility at 421 McKenzie Road in Mukwonago.

Although these deals were discussed in closed session, the Village Board did not take action on either of the deals, Weidl added.

“The board didn’t say no to either one they just said go gather more information and bring it back,” Weidl said.

In late February, the village locked in a $1.05 million deal with Malcolm, a California-based specialty foundation contractor. The company purchased a 9.6 acre parcel where they will construct a 15,000 to 20,000 square foot building.
