WAUKESHA — A developer has
applied to the city to construct an addition to the Clearwater
Apartments complex on the city’s far southwest side.
In an application submitted to the city late last week,
Waukesha-based ASquared Development wrote that it is looking to
construct two additional buildings at the site, one containing
11-units, and the other 14 units.
The structures would be added to the existing three-building
development located on roughly 8.5 acres of land on Clearwater Lane
off of Rapids Trail near Waukesha South High School.
The existing buildings, which were constructed around four years
ago, are home to a total of 55 units.
The new units are slated to have the same condo-like feel as the
others, but will not have freestanding garages, according to the
application letter. Currently each unit is proposed to have its own
dedicated garage space and a surface parking spaces. Additional
visitor parking space have also been planned.
The project is slated to undergo a preliminary review by the Plan
Commission on April 24, according to online records.
