CEDARBURG — Rachel’s Roses is blooming, in the best possible way.

“We’ve outgrown our space,” said Heather Latz of the store’s original location on Center Street. “We’re moving to a bigger space.”

On June 1, Rachel’s Roses will open for business in a new location a few blocks away, at N61 W6321 Turner Street, in the building behind Fiddlehead’s.

Latz said that the move expands the existing business space as well as provides an opportunity to expand their business services.

“We will now have room devoted to bridal consultations,” she said of the new space. “We also will have an area for classes.”

One of the new services Rachel’s Roses plans to roll out this summer is terrarium classes, along with stocking an inventory of terrarium supplies.

“Terrariums were very popular in the 1970s and 1980s, and people are becoming more interested in them again,” she said. “It’s like macramé; it’s coming back. It’s a new fad, but it is something that used to be really popular.”

For those who don’t wish to take a class, Rachel’s Roses will also be selling premade terrariums.

“We also want to start offering gift baskets, which is something that we hope will cater to our tourist market,” she said. Finally, those with a green thumb will also want to keep Rachel’s Roses in mind for the existing plants that they do own.

“We plan to offer a place where people can come and transplant their plants at the end of summer,” said Latz.

Rachel’s Roses will be holding a grand opening once the business is settled into the new space, and information on it will be shared via the business’ Facebook page.
