joins Johnson Financial Group as chief information officer

RACINE — Johnson
Financial Group President and CEO Jim Popp announced
this week that Tim Brown has been hired as chief
information officer.
“Tim is a proven executive who has spent the bulk of his
career in the financial services industry. We’re excited
to add such a seasoned IT professional to our team,”
Popp said. “Technology is evolving incredibly quickly in
the financial service sector. I’m confident that Tim’s
past experience will bring a new perspective to the
development and delivery of innovative service solutions
for both our associates and our customers.”
Brown has more than 30 years of experience at USAA, a
Texas-based Fortune 500 company offering insurance,
investments and banking services to its 12 million
association members. His most recent leadership role was
as senior executive of USAA Labs Advanced Research at
USAA.

and have great respect for its rich history and values,”
Brown said. “I look forward to building upon the solid
foundation already in place as well as providing
additional opportunities to enhance the customer
experience and operational effectiveness.”
Brown earned a BBA from Texas A& M University and an MBA
from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. He has been
actively involved in various community organizations
serving individuals with developmental disabilities
while also volunteering with entrepreneurial military
veterans interested in startup businesses.
