Mequon Public Market to open Saturday

Mequon Public Market at Spur 16, 6300 W. Mequon Road, will open Saturday with a
ribbon-cutting ceremony and live music.

MEQUON — The grand opening of the Mequon Public Market at Spur 16 will be marked with music and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Located at 6300 W. Mequon Road, Mequon Public Market has 10 primarily food and beverage vendors: Anodyne Coffee, Bavette La Boucherie, Beans & Barley, Bowls, Café Corazon, Happy Dough Lucky, Purple Door Ice Cream, Santorini Grill, Screaming Tuna and La Terre Floral and Gift.

The grand opening celebration will start at 11 a.m. Saturday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6 p.m. followed by a performance by singer/songwriter Joseph Huber from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. This will be the first of the Mequon Public Market’s Dine and Dance Summer Concert Series that is sponsored by Johnson Financial.

“We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such an outstanding group of seasoned business owners. This will fill a much-needed void in our community. We are also so thankful to Johnson Financial for sponsoring our concert series,” said Cindy Shaffer, owner of Shaffer Development.

The Mequon Public Market at Spur 16 is located next door to St. Paul Fish Company, Yama Yoga True North and Club Pilates.

The Mequon Public Market at Spur 16 features several unique outdoor spaces as well as a mezzanine and demonstration kitchen.

The Mequon Public Market hours are: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Anodyne opens at 6:30 a.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The Spur 16 development also includes residential buildings, two of which are filling up fast, Shaffer said in the press release.

The remaining two buildings will be completed in August and September.
