HARTLAND — The village of Hartland Parks and Recreation Board is set to discuss when and where to allow food trucks in Hartland at a meeting Monday.

“We’re just looking for some direction from the park board because we’re getting more requests to have food trucks in our parks,” said Mike Gerszewski, Department of Public Works operation supervisor.

Gerszewski said Hartland receives an occasional request to have food trucks in village parks, but when and where those trucks can operate has not been established.

“I know they’re becoming popular all over the country,” Gerszewski said. “The park board will have to decide if they want to allow them and if they do, what restrictions they might be put on them.”
