OCONOMOWOC — After initially not having plans to move, Mantra will be leaving its location at 24 S. Main St. to the old Mazatlan building at 511 E. Wisconsin Ave., due in part to Cornerstone owner John Suttner.

“He is helping me for everything,” owner Govindarajan Navaneetham said.

Navaneetham said he started moving Mantra out of Old City Mall on Monday and hopes to open at his new location this evening.

“We are hoping (to open tonight), but if not sometime during the weekend,” Navaneetham said.

Navaneetham will be meeting with the architectural commission on Wednesday to discuss painting over the orange the building is colored now.

He also said he is just planning on painting the building and not conducting a full facade renovation.

Mantra is having to move because Cornerstone is starting to begin the expansion of its restaurant to come to the Main Street corridor.

Suttner said he is happy to help Navaneetham find a new place.

“I think this is a win for everybody,” Suttner said. “Govind is going to get more exposure on East Wisconsin Avenue, it helps him with his long-term business plan and his customers will have more room to park.”
