HARTLAND Two housing projects proposed in Hartland by Neumann Developments, Inc. will move forward after plan commissioners recommended their approval at a meeting Monday night.

Neumann Developments proposed purchasing 53 acres from Lake Country Lutheran High School to construct a mixed-use development on land adjacent to the school. The development would be located just east of Lake Country Lutheran High School and north of Highway 16.

The mixed-used development would include 47 condominiums, 150 multifamily units spread across 9 buildings, 2 office buildings, one commercial building and a gas station or convenience store, according to a Neumann Developments, Inc. proposal.

Commissioners only approved a conceptual site plan for the project, which means several steps remain before it receives final consideration. Residents can expect the project to return before the commission before any approval, as well as multiple public hearings that allow for the public to comment on the proposed development.

Commissioners also recommended approval for a final condominium plat and consideration for electric infrastructure for the proposed Glen at Overlook Trails development.

The Glen at Overlook Trails will include 50 condominiums located on 40 acres at N56-W28528 Highway K between the Mary Hill subdivision and Winkleman Road, near Jungbluth Road. The condos will be priced between $400,000 and $600,000.

The Village Board will review The Glen at Overlook Trails proposal at a meeting Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the Richard Landwehr Municipal Building, 210 Cottonwood Ave.
