HARTLAND — Sendik’s Food Market
received preliminary approvals from the Plan Commission Monday night
for an addition and partial remodel of its store located at 600
Hartbrook Drive in Hartland.
Plans submitted to the Plan Commission indicate that Sendik’s has
requested to add a 27-foot addition to the backside of the grocery
store. If approved, the proposed addition will allow for better
storage, work flow, shipping and receiving as well as an interior
remodel of the deli, bakery and meat departments, according to the
The addition will also require relocating utilities for the
building, reducing loading docks from two to one as well as
additional storm drains, according to the plans.
Plan commissioners only approved a conceptual planned unit
development for Sendik’s proposal, which means the plans will still
need approval from the Village Board.
