ST. GERMAIN - The parent company
of Wisconsin Public Service says it will auction about 50 of
the 340 acres of land it holds adjacent to Lake Content in
northern Wisconsin.
Chicago-based Integrys Energy
Group says the lots will be divided into five parcels of
about 10 acres each before being sold on October 15.
The lots will grant dock
access to Lake Content and accommodate one residential
dwelling that must be built with environmentally friendly
materials and colors for construction.
Integrys Energy will retain
ownership of the remaining property for the time being.
Company officials say they're
working with the Town of St. Germain and environmental
agencies for the nearly 300 acres it would like to see kept
for conservation.
The Town of St. Germain is 30
miles north of Rhinelander.
