MARINETTE - Bond has
been set at $250,000 for a Marinette man charged with
killing his estranged wife.
Police say 43-year-old Joe
Evans shot and killed his wife, Dina Evans, at his trailer
home July 26. She was hit once in the chest.
Evans appeared in court
Tuesday. Marinette County District Attorney Brent DeBord
says he was charged Monday with first-degree intentional
homicide and previously with possession of a firearm by a
felon.
A criminal complaint says
Evans bought the gun from his half brother. He told police
it went off accidentally.
Dina Evans lived in a
different mobile home in the same park as her husband. The
criminal complaint says she had recently filed for a
restraining order against him.
