A Winnebago County jury took less than an hour Wednesday to find 24-year-old Sandra Scott of Oshkosh guilty of first-degree reckless homicide. Scott could be sentenced Nov. 20 to up to 66 years in prison.

Scott took the stand earlier Wednesday and admitted hitting Alizay Koepf twice in the stomach after the child did not fold a blanket. Alizay fell back and hit her head on a liquor bottle. She later died at a hospital.

Scott testified for about 40 minutes about what happened on Jan. 3, 2007. She said she did not intend to hurt Alizay when she hit her.
