LA CROSSE - Drug charges have
been dropped in La Crosse County against a second truck
driver accused of hauling marijuana along with his
tomatoes.
Gurmit Singh and Marco
Corzo, both of Palmdale, Calif., have been cleared of
being party to possessing marijuana with intent to
deliver.
Prosecutors this week
dropped charges against Singh after Corzo was earlier
found not guilty by a La Crosse County jury. Singh was
scheduled to stand trial later this month.
A State Patrol trooper says
nearly a-half ton of marijuana was found among tomatoes in
Singh's trailer after he pulled into an interstate weigh
station last November near West Salem.
Both men claimed they
didn't know there was marijuana in the truck.
